Open AI will let you create your own...GPT (aka AI Agents)

Are we all losing our jobs?

Some big updates from OpenAI’s Dev Day yesterday.

The big announcement is that ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users can start creating their own GPTs this week.

Here are the key details:

  • Custom AI Creation: OpenAI has announced "GPTs," allowing anyone to build personalised versions of the popular ChatGPT AI system.

  • No Coding Needed: These custom AI models can be developed without any coding knowledge, ranging from simple personal use to complex professional applications.

  • Interactive Training: Users can create a GPT by simply conversing with ChatGPT, detailing their specific requirements.

  • GPT Store Launch: OpenAI is set to launch the GPT Store later this month, a marketplace for distributing and monetizing these custom AIs, similar to Apple's App Store.

  • Monetisation Opportunity: Creators can publish their GPTs in the GPT Store and potentially earn money based on user engagement.

  • Verified Builders: The platform will feature GPTs from verified builders to ensure quality and prevent fraudulent content.

  • Enterprise AI Push: The GPT Store is part of OpenAI's larger move into the enterprise AI space and the monetization of its technologies.

  • Adoption by Companies: Firms like Amgen, Bain, and Square are early adopters, using internal GPTs for various business functions.

  • Business and Consumer Use: GPTs cater to both business use, enhancing departmental functions, and individual consumer use for tasks like learning or hobby activities.

  • Privacy and Ethics: OpenAI emphasizes that GPTs are built with privacy in mind, although there is still concern about the potential misuse of AI technology.

  • AI Democratization: The introduction of GPTs is a leap forward in personalizing and democratizing AI, suggesting a more integrated role of AI in everyday life.

On another Open AI update (still important), ChatGPT Plus has fresh information up to April 2023. Even better, you don’t need to hop between models - you can access DALL·E, browsing, and data analysis all in one place. No more switching from one mode to another 🎉
